MAIN ACTIVITIES Provide information and assistance to internal and external clients in person or electronically to facilitate compliance with requirements, or their understanding of immigration application processes. Enter and validate information in departmental on-line systems; review applications and documents; identify shortcomings including incomplete applications, missing, or irregular information. Process fee payments and prepare documents for refunding of fees. Maintain filing system, search internal systems and access departmental websites to search or track information. Utilize office equipment such as a computer, photocopier, scanners, fax machines, specialized printers, biometric capturing equipment, videoconference material and telephones. Research information systems to support information gathering for the processing of the file/application and to support program integrity. Translate and interpret written and verbal information, if required. Provide assistance and orientation to colleagues and show new employees how to perform tasks. Perform other duties.
