Department for International Trade roles (DIT)

DIT

Main purpose of job:

Provide commercial and administrative support to the Infrastrucure team within the commercial section (Department for International Trade) at the British Embassy in Mexico City.

 

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Provide logistics support in virtual and in-person events/fairs, trade missions and workshops related to the Infrastructure sector

 

  • Market research and report generation

  • Support the team in organizing internal and external meetings, when necessary, to promote the UK offer and highlight the opportunities in the Mexican market.

  • Monitor the internet, newsletters and specialised magazines to gather information for the team and produce weekly and monthly reports

 

  • Liaise with other teams and departments as necessary;

 

  • Keep internal resources updated (commercial brochures, country and subsector reports, etc.)

 

Essential on arrival: To be enrolled in an undergraduate programme or recently graduated (e.g. International Business, International Relations, Economics, Administration, International Business, Engineering in relevant field, etc.).

Language requirements:

Language: Candidates must be fluent in both written & spoken English and Spanish

Level of language required: Proficient

Desirable: Proactive and with a high level of interpersonal and communication skills, ability to collaborate with others, interest for the infrastructure sector with the ability to learn rapidly, and high organisational skills.
