The Donor Engagement Team is responsible for this key function.
Job Summary:
As part of the Donor Engagement Team, the Development Officer is responsible for creating an optimal experience for each and every CRS donor. The DO engages with donors directly in an effort to deepen their commitment to the organization. The DO offers both problem resolution (to prevent donor attrition) and relevant, personalized outreach (to grow and strengthen relationships).
Job Responsibilities:

Engages donors directly by phone, email and/or mail in an effort to deepen their commitment to CRS and solidify their ongoing support of the organization.

Reviews and responds to donor feedback. Identifies trends in donor responses. Looks for opportunities to strengthen relationships and solutions to ongoing challenges.

Researches and resolves donor issues. Coordinates efforts closely with staff internally to ensure quick and consistent problem resolution.

Explores cross-sell and cross-promotional opportunities for donors within the organization, providing the most personal and relevant information possible.

Fulfills cultivation and stewardship efforts like thank you calls and/or personal notes to select donor audiences.

Maintains accurate records of donor outreach in database to ensure a complete and comprehensive view of donor experience.

Plays an important role in reviewing and creating donor communication tools for both feedback and thank you outreach with an emphasis on feedback templates.

Internal: All Charitable Giving Units with a focus on Annual Giving and Donor Services as well as Mission and Mobilization
External: Donors
Work schedule:
This position may be located remotely, with hours agreed upon with the supervisor, based on a 35-hour work week.

The incumbent should be comfortable in a “forward facing” role with heavy personal interaction both inside CRS and with the general public.
