Level: Assistant Classification: GS04 Location: Islamabad, Pakistan Closing date for applications: 28-03-2021 at 23:59 UTC/GMT Summary of position: Under the general supervision of Trades Foreman and with the instructions from the senior property manager, the painter prepares interior and exterior surfaces to be painted, applies a variety of decorative and protective coatings, such as paint, varnish, silicone treatment, etc. to provide a high grade finish to interior and exterior surfaces, maintains a painting shop and operates special equipment and performs other related duties. Essential qualifications: Candidates will initially be screened against the essential qualifications relating to education, experience and language. Education: •Metric; or •Acceptable combination of education, training and experience. Language: •Fluency in English and Urdu language. Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in: •painting and performing related activities in five-star hotels, diplomatic missions or any major international organization. •Using wide variety of paints like varnish, silicone treatment, rubber base paint, stain, enamel or lacquer to provide a high grade finish to interior and exterior surfaces •Using and operating special equipment, such as spray guns, compressors, etc. Knowledge of personal protective equipment related to painting. Asset Qualifications: N/A Organizational Needs: N/A Operational Requirements: The appointment of the successful candidate will be subject to obtaining a Reliability Status (RS), by the Head Quarter in Ottawa. To conduct a RS, the candidate will have to submit the following documents upon being selected by the mission: Police clearance certificate (Character Certificate); Letter of recognition from your bank, stating your name, years of client service and your address; Professional and educational certificates and mark sheets (i.e. academic transcripts); Professional affiliations. The selected candidate must be available to work overtime and travel as and when required.
