Seefar has been innovating for five years with experts from all backgrounds and spread across the world. We thrive when we put our variety of backgrounds and expertise together to help empower vulnerable communities and work with them to build a better future.
One of the ways we want to empower communities is by improving education, especially for people in places with few resources.
One way of improving education is through the use of an Android mobile application to assist teachers in the classroom. We currently have a network of teachers in countries such as Mali, Nigeria, Afghanistan and Indonesia. We support them to improve their knowledge and skills which is ultimately transferred to the students they teach.
In 2021, we will adapt some of our content for delivery as modules in a mobile application (“the app”).
We are seeking an experienced Android app designer or design team to submit a proposal on how delivery of this content can be provided.
Version 1 of the app: This will be a one-way content delivery platform. Seefar will provide the content, which will consist of videos, images and text. It is expected that this
Version 2 of the app: This version is to come at a later date and not required for this RFP. If the provider of Version 1 delivers effectively, we may at our discretion request from that provider a proposal for Version 2. Version 2 will involve interactive elements.
Please note: This RFP only covers Version 1.
To be eligible for consideration, you must:

Be able to deliver your own quality assurance processes, including bug identification and fixing before delivery to Seefar.

Have high quality graphic design capabilities relevant to mobile applications.

Demonstrate gross revenue exceeding EUR 40,000 in your last two financial years.

The following are indicative dates to help you prepare:
- 23 March: Last day to submit questions (these can be directed to [email protected])
- 26 March: Close of proposal submissions
- 30 March: Last day to respond to clarifying questions on your proposal (if any)
- 01 April: Notification to the preferred provider and start due diligence with the preferred provider
- 15 April: Expected contract signature
