Main purpose of job: The British Embassy Seoul’s Investment Team attracts and supports Korean companies to invest in the UK through both FDI and capital investment. The UK is the world’s second largest offshore wind market, with ambitious plans to achieve clean power by 2030 and net zero by 2050, requiring even more growth in the sector. As our Clean Energy Sector Investment Lead (Maternity Cover), the successful candidate will lead the work to connect with industry leaders, drive high-impact investment projects and help world-class companies expand into the UK’s thriving clean energy ecosystem. Specifically, you will aim to secure investment from manufacturers to build parts for offshore wind farms and the electricity grid, plus help secure capital investment into offshore and onshore transmission infrastructure. We are seeking a strategic, proactive, networking, adaptable individual who can build strong relationships with potential investors, educate and influence them on the investment opportunities the UK offers and support them through the whole investment process.
