- Strengthening finance capability across the office by helping non‑finance staff understand financial processes, corporate requirements and key ODA rules.
- Preparing and submitting corporate financial returns, including monthly and quarterly updates, annual accounting packs, large cash‑payment forecasts and year‑end submissions.
- Building an understanding of delivery partners and external organisations to help raise awareness of counter‑fraud, corruption and fiduciary‑risk issues, and supporting programme teams in undertaking due‑diligence checks.
- Managing monthly budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring that all data submitted is timely, accurate and robust, enabling leadership to take informed, evidence‑based decisions about resource allocation.
- Working with colleagues across the Operational Excellence Team, and with all policy and programme teams, to strengthen internal controls, improve fiduciary‑risk management, support the handling of fraud or corruption concerns, and ultimately contribute to delivering stronger and more impactful ODA program.
