Introduction
UNDP in Viet Nam is looking for a national firm/organization to conduct a detailed assessment of energy-intensive and high GHG emitting sectors and sub-sectors, and support indentification of commercially viable RE, EE and energy transition technologies for each assessed sector and sub-sector.
The specific and sequenced objectives of the assignment are to:
1. assess and survey energy-intensive industrial sectors and sub-sectors with high potential for GHG emissions reduction;
2. analyze and identify for each assessed sector and sub-sector, the most technically and financially viable energy transition technologies, including RE, EE, and other relevant technologies, based on their technical applicability and indicative financial feasibility in the Vietnamese industrial context;
3. support project in the prioritization and selection of a minimum of two sectors and sub-sectors and related RE, EE and energy transition technologies; and
4. support project in the selection of a minimum of one enterprise for each identified sector/sub-sector for piloting viable RE, EE and energy transition technologies.
