Background
The purpose of the Logistic Manager is to be responsible and manage the logistic set up and operation in the country is according to NRC standard and to support programme/project implementation with procurement, fleet management, warehousing and asset management
Generic responsibilities
- Ensure that the country set up for logistic complies with NRC Logistic handbook, policies and donor requirements
- Implement NRC’s logistics systems and procedures and develop country specific SOP’s to ensure good practices in place
- Capacity building and support of logistic and non-logistic staff with logistical responsibilities
- Line management of the logistics team at the country office, including recruitment and performance management
- Managing timely procurement processes for national and international purchasing and tenders
- Analyse and manage market assessments within the scope of work and at the request of programme/project developers
- Ensure proper donor compliance and internally reporting is accurately documented for the delivery of goods and services
- Ensure anti-corruption, transparency and cost-efficient focus in procedures and trainings
- Establish filing systems/archives according to NRC logistics standards in all offices
- Initiate and maintain necessary leases, licenses and contracts with relevant authorities and suppliers
Specific responsibilities
- Ensure the timely delivery of logistics support services to all NRC Myanmar projects
- Assist in logistics budget preparation and follow up and manage allocated budget lines
- Development of formalized in country logistics policy documentation in line with NRC global procedures
- Setup key performance measures for all aspects of logistics activities and regularly review them against actual performance.
- Close and regular communication, coordination and planning will all program heads.
- Directly assisting and contributing to program and project design, including budget development
- Oversee the training of logistics department staff in the Country and Area offices

- Minimum 3 years of experience from working as a senior Logistics Manager in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts

- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Valid driver’s license
Context related skills, knowledge and experience:
- Knowledge of the context in Myanmar
- Experience with start-up, exit or similar

Duty station: Yangon
Travel: 40%
Term: 12 months renewable based on funding
