Team Vicar

Might God be calling you to East Ham at a time of opportunity and growth in our large urban parish with three churches?

As we experience growth in numbers and emergence of new lay leaders, we seek a Team Vicar to work across the parish and with particular responsibility for St Bartholomew’s Church & Centre and St Edmund’s Church to refresh and reimagine mission and ministry in the vibrant commercial and residential centre of East Ham.

We seek a prayerful priest in the catholic tradition with

• a heart for Christ-centred ministry in urban East London in all its diversity and complexity.

• commitment to collaborative ministry.

• skills and enthusiasm for working in a community centre context.

The Team Vicar’s responsibilities will include

• pastoral, sacramental and preaching ministries.

• congregational development, including developing lay leaders, and developing ministry with children and young people.

• strengthening the missional presence of the churches in the community.
