Overview
United Nations Volunteers wishes to auction 6 networking equipment. The sale will be conducted via sealed envelope bids.
The networking equipment is as follows:
- SWITCH CATALYST WS -C4-, purchase year 2011, good condition.
- SWITCH – CATALYST WS -C4506-E, purchase year 2011, good condition.
- SWITCH – CATALYST WS-C4510R+E, purchase year 2011, good condition.
- Firewall Security Equipment Check Point 5900 Next Gen, purchase year 2019, good condition.
- Firewall Security Equipment Check Point 5900 Next Gen, purchase year 2019, good condition.
- NetApp AFF A220 with 24x960GB SSD, purchase year 2019, good condition.
How to bid
Please complete and sign the bid form attached, indicating the equipment you are bidding for with your highest offer. Your bid must be signed and sealed in a non-transparent envelope and addressed to:

For external bidders, it is recommended to send the bid by courier or registered mail. UN staff can pass their bid to the Langer Eugen mailroom, where the envelope will be registered (Name, time and date received).

Bids must be received no later than 05.00 pm (CET) on 27 April 2026. Bids submitted after this time will not be considered. Bids will be opened by a bid opening committee and recorded for transparency.
The equipment will be sold to the highest qualified bidder.
The equipment will be available for viewing on Monday, 20 April 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in Bonn, Germany. External companies are kindly requested to inform us in advance of the individuals who plan to visit the UN Campus. Please provide their names and company details to [email protected].
Queries should be put in writing to [email protected]. Bids sent by email will be disqualified.
Once the highest bidder is announced, the bidder will have 7 days from the notification to transfer the money to the UNV bank account. Once the money is received, the bidder will be notified when they can pick up the equipment. The successful bidder is expected to arrange pick up and any documentation required to pick up the equipment from the UN location.
Equipment is sold without guarantee, UNV will not accept any returns.
