EnviroSystems Management, Inc. is seeking an experienced Vegetation Management Field Director to lead vegetation and noxious weed management projects throughout the Southwest. This is a hands‑on leadership position combining fieldwork (up to 75%), crew supervision, and project coordination.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise field crews on vegetation management projects
- Conduct herbicide applications (backpack, UTV, spot, and broadcast)
- Perform and oversee noxious weed and vegetation surveys
- Plan field logistics and communicate with clients
- Maintain and repair field equipment (UTVs, ATVs, sprayers, chainsaws, trucks)
- Lead daily safety meetings and ensure compliance with safety protocols
- Collect, manage, and quality‑check field data, reports, and GPS/GIS products
- Train crew members in plant ID, tool use, and project methods
- Document field conditions with photos and reports
Qualifications
- Degree in natural resources or related field (preferred)
- Arizona Applicator Certification preferred (and required after start date)
- 2+ years’ experience in weed survey, treatment, GPS, and data collection
- Strong plant identification skills (native and invasive species)
- Leadership experience supervising field crews
- GIS/GPS proficiency
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to travel 35%+ and work in rugged terrain
