The Parasitic & Vector-borne Infections Unit of the Infectious Diseases Division is conducting a study to evaluate the effectiveness and operational feasibility of Spatial Repellents for Aedes mosquito control in urban Dhaka.
Position Description:
The Surveillance Worker will report to the Field Research Officer and will be responsible for conducting door-to-door surveys for household listing, obtaining consent, enrolment, investigational product (IP) distribution, and installation in the Dhaka North and South City Corporations under the above-mentioned study. S/he will be involved in –
Visit selected city corporation wards to conduct household listings and enrolment based on established criteria;
Conduct regular household visits for IP distribution and installation;
Collect data on socioeconomic status, Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices (KAP), and other Case Report Forms (CRFs) using an electronic data capture system;
Obtain informed consent or assent from participants before each procedure;
Maintain accurate records and data quality;
Collect Dried Blood Spot (DBS) samples via finger prick;
Maintain screening and visit logs;
Engage with community members and ensure adherence to ethical research practices;
Report daily activities to the Field Supervisor.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
HSC or equivalent;
At least 1 year of experience in the relevant field.
Good communication skills;
Good technical knowledge and ability to use a Smartphone and Tab.

Contract Type and Duration:
Short-Term; duration will be 06 months with a possibility of extension, subject to availability of funds and performance.
Salary & Benefits:
Tk.25,560/-per month (consolidated) inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances; Festival bonus, income tax paid by icddr,b and subsidized canteen. Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.
