Associate Dean of the School of Biomedical Engineering:
We are seeking a visionary and accomplished scholar to serve as the Associate Dean of the School of Biomedical Engineering. The Associate Dean will play a pivotal role in the strategic management of academic programs, faculty development, and research initiatives, while fostering a dynamic environment for interdisciplinary collaboration. The Associate Dean will also be expected to develop his/her own research program in one of the Institute’s main research areas. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of biomedical engineering education and research at one of China’s most prestigious institutions.
Qualifications
- Candidates must have a doctoral degree in biomedical engineering or a closely related field, possess a distinguished, sustained record of scholarly excellence and significant impact in their field. Candidates are expected to hold a Full Professor or equivalent position at a world-class university or research institute.
- Candidates should have demonstrated leadership and management experience in an academic setting, with a proven ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
- Candidates should have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Tenure-track and tenured faculty positions:
The School of Biomedical Engineering invites applications for full-time tenure-track or tenured faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor levels. Outstanding candidates in all areas of Biomedical Engineering are encouraged to apply, with strategic interest in:

Qualifications
Candidates should have a PhD degree in related fields and have a passion for teaching and research. A strong track record in independent research, teaching, student supervision, and service is highly desirable. A clearly defined and distinctive research vision, supported by notable academic achievements, is essential.
- For the Assistant/Associate Professor (tenure-track) level, candidates are typically expected to have completed at least three years of postdoctoral training or equivalent industry research experience. Exceptional recent PhD graduates with a demonstrated record of outstanding achievement may also be considered.
- For the Full Professor position, candidates must possess a distinguished, sustained record of scholarly excellence and significant impact in their field. Candidates are expected to hold an equivalent position at a world-class university or research institute.
