The Consultant will be responsible for delivering short-term activities to Educo with expected outputs but not limited to:

Enhancing competencies of Multigrade teachers for blended learning under the new normal (distance learning and in-person teaching when schools reopen);

Enhancing competencies of School heads and supervisors on monitoring, supervision and mentoring of multigrade schools in the “new normal” integrating safe protocols at home and schools;
-
Enhancing competencies of School heads and supervisors by enhancing the Quality Assurance Tools purposely for MG project implementation;
-
Enhancing parents and/or guardians and community stakeholders to receive have relevant information on supporting safe learning at home and safe return to schools when allowed by authorities; and
-
Addressing the learning differences of boys and girls through developed supplementary learning apps in the SIAB.
I. IMPLEMENTATION ARRANGEMENT / LOCATION
The project is to be delivered through a mix of virtual and face-to-face modalities due to the restrictions imposed by the local government units as brought about by Covid 19 pandemic. The consultant will be expected to work collaboratively with the Director of Program, Technical Specialist in Education and project team of Educo as well as the concerned Department of Education units.
Monitoring and Evaluation of the project is crucial within the 9- month implementation thus the Consultant is expected to work collaboratively with the MEAL unit of Educo. S/he will be given supplementary information and reporting as required and vice-versa.
II. TRANSFER OF EXPERTISE /DELIVERABLES
Educo puts premium on transfer of expertise. The Consultant will be expected to enhance the competencies of DepEd partners and with collaboration with Educo, empower the parents/guardian and other community stakeholders on child’s rights and other global and national issues affecting the enjoyment on basic child right.
III. WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is for the period of 9 months, providing both remote and face to face technical support to the project.
IV. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate should possess the following experiences and qualifications to be considered in this post:
- Professional experience
ü At least solid 5 years and above in curriculum development
ü At least 5 years’ experience in material development, quality evaluation and training of teachers on material utilization
ü Outstanding communication skills in English and Filipino, vernacular is an advantage but not required
ü Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
ü Ability to engage in child rights issues
- Educational Qualification
ü S/he is a graduate of Education course and has an advanced degree (Masters Degree or equivalent) in any recognized and reputable institution
