Angkor Hospital for Children (AHC) is a non-profit, paediatric healthcare organisation in Siem Reap, Cambodia. AHC is looking for a highly motivated communications expert who can fill the position of Communications Manager to strengthen our international and in-country communications, fundraising and marketing. This role will be primarily responsible for implementing AHC’s external communications plan, producing marketing materials across channels and mediums that are on-brand and message, building capacity within in-country teams, and supporting fundraising and internal communications within the organisation.
Your goal will be to activate AHC’s communications plan by leading on-the-ground activities and delivering upon mandatories to increase engagement with audiences, convert prospects, and nurture relationships. The successful applicant will be a person who is highly motivated to learn and further develop their skills working for a NGO.
Main Responsibilities:
- Strategise, develop and execute on an omnichannel, multi-medium, international communications plan designed to reach new audiences and aid in meeting fundraising targets**
- Write and edit content for the website, newsletters, annual and bi-annual reports, social media, print material and other platforms and formats, ensuring delivery of content that is engaging, informative and effective
- Maintain multiple social media platforms, website, print and digital media
- Ensure the creation and deployment of all print and online communications like the annual report, newsletters, and online campaigns are carried out in a timely and effective manner
- Work in partnership with a small team of in-house national communications staff to build capacity, finding opportunities for increased support and collaboration
- Work closely with the international and in-country fundraising teams to develop content, marketing material, event collateral and graphics in support of fundraising activities
- Conceptualise external-facing marketing materials for an international audience
- Manage a team of in-house and freelance photographers, videographers, writers and graphic designers for the production of print and digital content
- Ensure brand guidelines, photo policies and consent form policies are adhered to and updated
- Support local and international media visits, requests, press releases, etc
- Support internal communications
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of the communications functions including budgeting, procurement, planning and staff development
- Test the effectiveness of communications activities, and track and measure the level of engagement with the ultimate goal of increasing the supporter base of AHC, fulfilling on a monthly KPI dashboard

Requirements:
- Minimum of five (5) years of general communications experience
- Have a Bachelor degree or higher qualification in business, marketing, communications, journalism, development, or other related fields
- Flexible working hours, as you’ll be working with remote leadership
- Skilled in self-management, balancing competing priorities, and working against multiple deadlines
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain working files and revisions of documents
- Ability to handle and use constructive feedback in order to make needed changes
- Superior English writing skills
- Solid proficiency in website content management systems (WordPress), social media platforms, social media management tools, as well as comfortable learning new platforms as required
- Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications
