Gender and Inclusion Specialist

We want to ensure that Tearfund’s culture and broader work is building towards a world where everyone can flourish, reach their God-given potential and live life with dignity. We know that this sort of change starts within, so through our Diversity & Inclusion work we are seeking to address our internal culture, processes, policies, and practice, as well as our external programmatic and influencing work.

Do you have experience supporting mainstreaming of gender and inclusion in international development and advocacy programmes? Have you worked across multiple contexts and cultures and been involved in influencing change?

We’re looking for a skilled and experienced specialist in Gender and Inclusion mainstreaming to support the strengthening of our Programmatic and Advocacy and Influencing work by bringing in best practices, guidance, tools and capacity building of our staff and programmatic processes.

The successful candidate will have:

• A track record of delivering Gender & Inclusion mainstreaming in programming and advocacy, and a passion for quality inclusive programming
• Excellent training skills on gender and inclusion mainstreaming, with the ability to relate well to people from different backgrounds and cultures.
• The ability to engage and influence a broad range of stakeholders
• Experience in developing best practice guidelines, tools and resources for programming staff

N.B. This global role can be based in the UK or in one of Tearfund’s clusters or country’s offices. Candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK or in one of our cluster countries where we have registration. This is a 2 year fixed term role.
