EU Focus is looking for a German-speaking Public Affairs Intern to join our experience team in Brussels, supporting a continuously growing pool of international clients in the highly regulated fields of sustainability, agriculture, chemicals, agrochemicals, food, feed, energy and digital. For this 6-months assignment, we are looking for a team player, extrovert, with strong oral, written, analytical skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting our multidisciplinary team with political and regulatory advice to a pool of clients on a range of EU policies, with particular focus on agriculture, food, feed, chemical, agrochemical policies, sustainability, digital
- Support in drafting position papers, preparing impactful power point presentations, staying in regular contact with EU influencers, gathering intelligence, participating in conference calls with clients, monitoring EU legislation
- Support in growing and nurturing the network of contacts among EU institutions and other stakeholders
Desired Profile
- Advanced degree (MA) in Law, Political Science, International Relations or Economics
- Strong written and oral skills
- Skills in analysing large volumes of information and translating it in concise and impactful papers
- Keen interest in EU Public Affairs and/or with EU institutions
- Perfect understanding of the EU decision-making procedures
- Knowledge of or experience with German politics is a plus
- Structured mindset, robust project management skills
- In addition to English and German, knowledge of another European language is a plus
- You are a proactive individual, a quick learner and a team player willing to work in a fast-paced business environment and grow in a dynamic company
