Communications Officer

ERTICO – ITS Europe is a public-private partnership of 120 companies and organisations representing service providers, suppliers, traffic and transport industry, research, public authorities, user organisations, mobile network operators, and vehicle manufacturers. ERTICO embodies thought leadership and fosters stakeholder engagement; Together with our partners, we develop, promote and deploy Intelligent Transport Systems and Services (ITS) through a variety of activities including European co-funded projects, innovation platforms, international cooperation, advocacy and events. ERTICO is the organiser of the annual ITS regional and global Congress in Europe.

We are currently seeking to recruit a full-time

Communications Officer

Your role as Communications Officer is to carry out communications activities related to EU funded projects on behalf of ERTICO.

Such activities include the development of project dissemination plans, development of communications material and channels, managing the dissemination project budget, online promotion, social media marketing and event support. 

What will be your main responsibilities?

• Develop project dissemination plans, documents and deliverables
• Conceptualise and carry out the external communications of projects according to the dissemination plan, ensuring that the set tasks are implemented in a timely matter
• Website and online media management
• Write and edit featured articles, news items, brochures and other material on specific issues related to ERTICO’s projects 
• Coordinate with other project partners to ensure quality of dissemination material
• Monitor press articles related to the project work
• Support to project related events
• Administrative support linked to project management 
• Contribute to the overall corporate communications strategy

What should you bring?

• Experience in and/or sound knowledge of  EC co-funded projects and its related communication tasks 
• 2-3 years’ experience in communications 
• Ability to translate complex technical issues into clear messages
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading and design layout skills are essential
• Excellent English oral and written skills (near-native level), additional languages are an advantage 
• Knowledge of WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite and various online tools (e.g. Sharepoint, MailChimp, SurveyMonkey, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)
• Ability to work using own initiative and within a team
• Professionalism and creativity
