TIC Council is recruiting a Committee Secretary intern to support the management of various TIC Council Sectorial Committees. The successful applicant will work closely with the Technical and Certification Programme team as well as the various experts within the member organisations. The internship position will run for six months (to be reconducted for another six months if candidate is successful) and a monthly allowance will be provided. Starting date: As soon as possible

TIC Council is the association representing the Testing, Inspection and Certification sector worldwide with presence in Brussels, Washington DC, New Delhi and China. As the TIC Council membership covers more than 160 countries, the association has a truly global footprint.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Technical and Certification programme team in the management of various Committee work (Commodities Inspection and Import/Export Government Service Inspections)
  • Support the administration of the Petroleum Inspector and Agricultural Superintendent Certification Programmes
  • Assist in the deployment of Committee initiatives (Webinars, events, development of technical documents).
  • Support with event logistics (promotion, registration tracking, venue organisation, post-event activities follow-up)
  • Desk research to gather data or market intelligence
  • Assist other members of staff with their work

Profile

  • Fluency required in English (oral and written), any additional EU language is an asset
  • Preferred fields of study: Economics or Business, Administration, Public Relations
  • Attention to detail and positive problem-solving skills
  • Quick learner who can easily adapt to the fast-paced workplace
  • Conscientious, responsible, ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to conduct research independently
  • Positive attitude, flexible, enthusiastic, energetic, motivated, team-player
  • Work experience/internship in a relevant field is an asset
  • Preferably tech savvy
