Voice of Older People and Family (VOP-Fam) is a Humanitarian non-profit nongovernmental organization working to achieve a better life for older people and their family members on the basis of a human rights approach. VOP is registered with Kurdistan regional government (according to letter no. 9901 dated October 6th, 2004 issued by the Ministry of Interior).
The main office located in Dohuk Governorate, but runs projects and activities in a number of other Iraqi cities and towns such as Sulaymaniyah Governorate and Shekhan district. VOP – Fam has well established itself in the last twelve years of its age as focusing on undertaking social activities for the elderly and family members with a strong component in child protection, legal aid, and peaceful coexistence activities through involving communities in dialogues and involving art activities for disseminating peace messages.
VOP has experienced personnel in areas of Programming, administration and finance, field implementation, and monitoring as well as emergency coordination, the staff is further supported with the good reputation and strong coordination VOP has with the local authorities and communities it has worked with.

Job Title Overview: Voice of Older People and Family (VOP-FAM) is seeking a full-time skilled PO officer to be based in the Duhok office with the ability to travel to the field on daily basis. The potential candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in the related field and knowledge in Livelihood as well as civic and economic engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Project Officer Responsibilities:
- Act as a team leader for the activities conducted in the community.
- Provide advice and support to the community mobilizers
- Develop a network of local stakeholders working on youth issues.
- Liaise between the project team and the local authorities and key stakeholders.
- Work at the Youth Centers and in the project area for the duration of the project.
- Assist and support the community mobilizers and the Advisory Group to design and carry out initiatives for their community in order to ensure the activities are taking place successfully.
- Coordinate daily with the community mobilizers about the activities implemented.
- Plan and shape activities (contents, target groups approach) in close collaboration with the community mobilizers and under the supervision of the project manager.
- Facilitate and supervise training and meeting for the youths/adolescents and the local community.
- Jointly with the community mobilizers, follow the youths and adolescents during the training in order to guarantee their participation and learning.
- Report and support the Project Manager in adapting the activities to better fit the needs and the wishes of the youths/adolescents in the community.
- Support the community mobilizers on collecting monitoring data and correctly filling forms for all the youth and adolescent beneficiaries.
- Report to the project manager any problems regarding the youths and the project’s implementation, or in case of any unforeseen developments that substantially alter the aims and objectives of the project.
- Write reports as required to the Project Manager
- Duties:
- Create and adhere to a timeline for planning and conducting events.
- Liaise with stakeholders to gauge their needs.
- Work with staff to accomplish tasks.
- Contact vendors for outsourced services.
- Receive phone calls and respond to emails from stakeholders.

Qualifications and Requirments:
1.Bachelor degree in humanities or bachelor degree with a relevant experience
2- At least 2 years of experience working with youth in civic and economic engagement
