JOB SUMMARY
As a small but rapidly growing global health organization, we are looking for an HR Coordinator who will play a key role in assisting with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, payroll, and other HR related initiatives. S/he will be responsible for supporting our international operations and/or US based departments.
The HR Coordinator will assist in reviewing and auditing employees’ and contractors’ payments to ensure they are paid in accordance with regulations, and recommending solutions to issues as appropriate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Seek opportunities for improvements in the HR processes and daily activities, supporting the organization’s overarching continuous improvement activities.

Apply knowledge of a broad range of people-related topics such as talent acquisition, performance, learning, talent development, diversity, compensation, and retention to help diagnose and identify HR challenges.

Provide support and resources on conflict and conflict resolution or other issues that may arise to promote a positive work environment.

Assists in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Recruiting:

Contribute to the recruitment of staff, working with the hiring manager, reviewing resumes, communicating with candidates, scheduling interviews, preparing information packets for interviewing panel members, facilitating interviews.

Prepare new hire orientation packets and electronic and paper employee files. Ensure supporting documentation for employee transitions (eg. salary adjustments, promotions, leave, separations) are complete, and filed timely and appropriately.

Develop an onboarding orientation checklist and follow with the relevant departments.

Monitor on-and off-boarding processes to ensure compliance, including new hire and off-boarding activities.
Compliance:

Reviewing and ensuring compliance to HR policies and procedures; coordinating the development of policies, handbooks and supporting their implementation and dissemination.

Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
Country Offices
-
Research benefits offerings to support the development of competitive and comprehensive benefits packages

Support Director, in reviewing and completing salary and benefits surveys where applicable.

Follow up on the employees monthly timesheets and assist with the review of country office payrolls as needed.

Support Field offices on all recruitment and HR forms, employees data and queries

Provide support and ensure compliance with country-specific labor laws.
Other Duties

Work closely with the accounting department on the monthly payroll preparation and the annual audit HR requirements.

Maintain temporary staff records for internal stakeholder needs.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
-
A bachelor’s degree is required for this position, with degrees/concentrations focused in HR Administration preferred

At least 5 years of related experience with INGOs human resources

Ability to work comfortably with Google G Suite and familiarity with payroll systems, ADP system is preferred.

Ability to coordinate and administer meetings using digital communication platforms applications (e.g., Zoom, GotoMeeting and Skype).

Working knowledge of payroll requirements, federal and state regulations.

Experience in the international development sector is a plus; this may include experience or interest in Healthcare/Nutrition.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, demonstrating a sense of urgency, and excellent follow-up, and to work independently and with confidentiality

Solution oriented with attention to detail, quality, accuracy, efficiency, and meeting tight deadlines.

Strong interpersonal skills- both written and verbal communication.

Sensitivity to cultural differences and awareness of the political and ethical issues surrounding Human Resource Management on a global stage.
Fluency in written and spoken English; Arabic language is preferred. **
