KDC Conseil, a Brussels based EU Public Affairs consultancy, is looking for a EU Public Affairs Senior Consultant, who would be able to start as soon as possible.

The future EU Senior EU Affairs consultant will work independently and report directly to the Partners. The Senior Consultant will have the responsibility to manage and develop a portfolio of 3/4 clients, and perform the following tasks:

  • Advising clients on ongoing and forthcoming EU policy developments as well as potential risks/ opportunities for the client’s business;
  • Elaborating, implementing and coordinating influence/lobbying campaigns;
  • Developing and implementing reputation and communication strategies.
  • In implementing these tasks, the Senior Consultant will be assisted by one or two junior consultant(s) in our team.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (Economics, Law, Political Science, International Relations, European Studies);
  • At least 5 years of professional work experience, either within the European institutions or in a Public Affairs function (consultancy, industry, association);
  • Professional experience and/or a sound knowledge of the EU’s Digital Policy (AI, DSA, DMA, data policy, etc.) would be an asset;
  • The EU Affairs Senior Consultant should also have professional experience in at least one of the following EU policies: Agriculture, Energy, Environment, Health;
  • Capacity to work both in English and French at a near-native speaker level;
  • Knowledge of other EU languages will be considered as an asset;
  • Excellent understanding of the EU decision making process;
  • Existing network of contacts within EU institutions.

Skills:

  • Ability to think and act strategically; keen interest in business, public policy and EU politics;
  • Ability to work both in a team and independently; capacity to manage junior consultant(s);
  • Strong writing and analytical skills; attention to detail and highly organised; practical approach to problem solving; ability to work well under pressure;
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Practical arrangements :

  • The position is based in Brussels
  • Starting Date: As soon as possible (ideally May)
  • Remuneration: Competitive package
