Background
Oxfam Pilipinas is developing and producing an Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2020-2021 which will showcase project achievements and milestones of to all its stakeholders and highlights key areas in which the work contributes to ending the injustice of poverty. Objectives
The main objective is to manage the overall production of Oxfam Pilipinas’ Annual Report for FY 2020-2021 and ensure that it adheres to Oxfam’s principles and standards.
Scope of Work
The Annual Report Managing Editor will be working with the Policy, Advocacy and Communications Team in performing the following specific tasks:
- Write text for the Report, including
- Introduction (300 words)
- Overview of four sections (200 words each)
- Short text to introduce sub-section visuals and links (max 100 words each);
- Proofread text, correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors;
- Verify factual correctness of information as reflected in different sections of the annual report;
- Check style consistency, readability, and adherence to editorial policies;
- Organize the corresponding references and hyperlinks of the different sections;
- Oversee the over-all layout of the annual report; and
- Ensure that the contents are consistent with Oxfam’s style guide in https://oxfam.box.com/s/t802k4jlh5ox5ffz3dcvcgtfwv867b4t
Key Deliverable
Copy edited and final layout of Oxfam Pilipinas Annual Report 2020-2021 that is both website and mobile-friendly.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in INGO publications management, preferably in managing the production of annual reports
- Proven commitment to feminist communications
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent written skills
- Computer proficient and can work on online tools and software
- Detail oriented and proactive – while crosschecking and verifying data, tracks down the appropriate resources and address questions or issues in the copy that might require additional research. When faced with these hurdles, she/he knows where to find answers to get the project to the finish line
- Degree in Journalism, Communications, or related discipline
- Familiarity with Oxfam and its work is an advantage
Period of Engagement: May 24, 2021 until August 23, 2021
