Reporting to

Director Market Analysis and Economic Studies

Main Duties:

• Contribute to the on-going data collection, processing and exchange of statistics on all relevant parameters of the EU steel market, such as steel production, imports and exports, consumption and downstream steel using sectors

• Provide input for the preparation of EUROFER’s Quarterly economic and Steel market Outlook
• Provide input for quarterly product-specific Market Reports

Manage EUROFER’s Trade data base (Comext, Surv2, etc)

• Disseminate EUROFER’s Quarterly Market Outlook and Market Reports and other relevant publications
• Work collaboratively with other departments to provide them relevant statistical information and support when required

Knowledge, Skills, Requirements and Qualifications:

• Graduate degree in economics, political science or other relevant matters
• Good command of Excel, Powerpoint and web applications
• Experience in data management
• Knowledge of the steel industry is desirable
• Relevant experience (3-5 years) in a related position
• Good organisational and communications skills are required;
• Good command of English (both spoken and written) is required;
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines;
• Creative thinker – analytical mindset
• Ability to work independently and also to take initiatives in consultation/agreement with the Director Market Analysis and Economic Studies.
