Position description

The Borgen Project believes leaders of the most powerful nation on earth should be doing more to address global poverty. We’re the innovative, national campaign that is working to make poverty a focus of U.S. foreign policy. We advocate in the halls of Congress to fight poverty and the root causes of it. Each year we mobilize thousands of grassroots volunteers around the country to lobby and educate their congressional representatives to ensure the most vulnerable communities are reached globally.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and oversee our annual fundraising initiatives
• Identify 30+ new corporate donors and implement strategies to cultivate those relationships
• Organize special fundraising events
• Build and track proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years of development experience
• A proven track record in securing major gifts
• Superb verbal, written and presentation skills
• Proficient with MS Office applications and CRMs
