What we are looking for:
We are currently looking for a Trainee Consultant to join our Global Health Team. The role has a strong communications-facing role, as well as daily monitoring of a range of issues in global health.
Responsibilities:
- Daily monitoring of global health and health topics, including COVID-19, Universal Health Coverage, SDGs, NCDs, NTDs, antimicrobial resistance, etc.
- Conducting background research and writing memos, event notes and issue briefs
- Drafting content for articles and newsletters
- Managing database of global health media and support with organizing press conferences
- Assisting with project management (drafting meeting minutes, updating timelines)
- Assisting with digital marketing communications content and assets creation
- Supporting social media strategy and priorities, including tracking content performance and reviewing analytics
Essential:
- EU national or work permit holder
- A previous traineeship in the global health and/ or pharmaceutical sectors. Candidates without experience in these sectors will not be considered.
- Perfect command of English; additional language skills an asset.
- Strong planning skills.
- Advanced research and writing skills, including the ability to summarise issues quickly and accurately.
- Ability to work in a team, whilst at the same time carrying out own tasks independently and to agreed deadlines.
- Flexibility, enthusiasm, ability to work under tight deadlines in an international environment.
- Proficient with IT and new media tools.
- Knowledge of UN system and in particular WHO, WIPO, WTO or the EU institutions and legislative processes
- Passion for current developments in health affecting the innovation, patient groups and health professionals
Desirable:
- Internship in a communications or social media capacity at Global Health organization
- Demonstrated experience with communications and advocacy on digital media platforms is a big plus – organising social media campaigns, community engagement
- Experience with working with media and drafting opinion articles
