Overview

Samaritan’s Purse is looking for a creative Marking Associate to serve with Operation Christmas Child located at our International HQ in Boone, NC.  In this role you would have the opportunity to support the coordination of marketing strategy, social media content, media relations, and administrative functions for the Operation Christmas Child Brand Development team.  Join our team and use your gifts and talents for the Kingdom!

** This is a 6 month, 40 hr/week position, starting in August 2021 and ending January 2022 **

A day in the life of a Marketing Associate:

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. 

In the role of Marketing Associate, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
• Support marketing campaign plans and implementation; assist with campaign messaging, testing, and reporting; review survey response data and summarize results as needed
• Assist with social media monitoring, content creation, and research; support social events and promotional logistics as needed
• Support the management and organization of all marketing content and creative assets; help categorize and develop the content database
• Support the media team with the organization, pitching, and follow-up for select speaker tours; assist with building media subscriber lists and media coverage reviews as needed
• Provide administrative support for the Brand Development team; support inventory requests, shipments, and organization; assist and back up Administrative Coordinator tasks and responsibilities as given  
• Stay current on latest trends, technologies, tools, sites, and applications related to marketing
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field, from a four-year college or university
• 1-3 years’ prior experience in marketing

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to handle multiple/competing priorities
• Works independently and completes tasks without constant direction
• Great at problem solving and thinking through complex issues to find the best solutions
• Demonstrates a servant’s attitude, proactively seeking ways to assist the team
• Fluency in English (required)

Job Location: Boone, NC (NO remote option)
