Operation Heal Our Patriots gives wounded veterans and their spouses the opportunity for spiritual refreshment, physical renewal, and marriage enrichment. Couples participate in Biblically based seminars that help strengthen their relationships with God and others and enjoy the beauty of God’s creation with outdoor activities at our Alaskan wilderness lodge. We continue to support these men and women after their initial stay, keeping their spiritual needs and marriages a priority.

The Events Logistics Assistant will support the Events Logistics Manager in the planning and implementation of the Operation Heal our Patriots (OHOP) annual reunion as well as other regional OHOP events.  They will perform a variety of administrative duties to support the year-round ministry of OHOP.

Temporary position thru December, 2021 (based on a start date of July 1)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  1. Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
  2. Utilizes event management software to provide technical support for development and usage of event websites, event apps, and corresponding reporting.
  3. Supports the travel logistics of event attendees, including booking flights and rental cars as needed, as well as assisting with rooming lists, special needs, and reimbursements.
  4. Develops email templates to ensure that consistent messaging and design is presented in all communications to alumni and staff. Sends and tracks all communications sent out through event management software.
  5. Analyzes data for accuracy and consistency in order to support the ongoing, year-round ministry of OHOP.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  1. General knowledge of Excel with ability to report and track event-related details
  2. Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
  3. Ability to be analytical and attentive to details
  4. Working knowledge of coding and graphic design
  5. Highly effective organizational skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate’s Degree with two (2) or more years of experience in planning events, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies strongly preferred.
