We are looking for a senior, experienced, strategic, high-energy, hands-on, results-oriented colleague, to target and expand our partnerships with the private corporate sector in support of NRC’s strategic goals. This person will accelerate NRC’s funding opportunities by developing and executing our partnerships strategy globally.

What you will do

You will be responsible for taking the lead on corporate partnership strategy and execution for technology and digital transformation in line with NRCs global corporate relations strategy and in support of NRC’s strategy of digital transformation. You will also play an important role in providing strategic and operational direction on developing and implementing NRC’s global corporate partnership strategy in collaboration with internal stakeholders and in line with NRCs strategic goals.

You will report and offer support to the Head of Global Corporate Relations section on multiyear strategy and ensure that global and in-country strategies are aligned.

What you will bring

  • Documented highly professional experience within business development, corporate partnerships, and/or social impact or other relevant professional qualification;
  • Documented professional knowledge at a senior level of the corporate market and global technology sector;
  • Documented experience in developing and implementing strategies;
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of the technology industry; drivers, procedures, culture, goals, risk attitude, etc.;
  • Documented results with strategic relationship building, partnerships, and networking ;
  • Documented experience and ability to engage at C-suite roles/senior levels in business and development sector contexts, and to build trust-based relationships with senior-level executives;
  • Demonstrated experience in creating new partnerships – including identifying partnership opportunities, designing projects, brokering, and cultivating relationships, negotiations, and designing and formalizing partnership structures;
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal;
  • Communication skills to build bridges between the technology industry and the humanitarian sector;
  • Willing and able to work outside normal work hours, to operate different time zones towards colleagues in field offices and corporate partners around the world.

Whom you will work with

You will join our colleagues in Head Office and be part of the Global Corporate Relations section, which is part of the External Relations Department and is responsible for delivering partnerships that generate resources (cash, skills, and joint ventures, innovative finance) to enable NRC to deliver its mission. You will also be supporting field and representation office teams through building strategic relationships with corporations, private foundations, and philanthropy, both directly and indirectly.

The section is required to provide the leadership, capacity building, and guidance to ensure robust multiyear relationships are created at all levels of the organization, that are thoughtful, fruitful, and impactful.
