Position provides administrative support for the Director, Assistant Directors, and Managers in the following locations: Samaritan’s Purse International Headquarters, Samaritans Purse Wilkes Offices and Warehouse, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and the Library.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
  • Assists the Director and Assistant Directors by handling administrative details, problem solving both independently and cooperatively as issues arise, multi-tasking, and identifying priorities. 
  • Oversees and directs the processing of all invoices and credits for Food Services procurements in a timely manner. Maintains regular and prompt communication with internal and vendor Finance/AP personnel. 
  • Serves as manager and first line of contact for the Point of Sale (POS) system. Stays up-to-date, knowledgeable, and available to perform all functions from open to close and basic trouble-shooting. Works directly with ECRS for large problems and changes to system. Facilitates all POS training with new and existing employees. Serves as back-up Cashier as necessary. Oversees daily sales paperwork including reports to Food Services leadership and Finance. Makes daily deposit and posts credit cards.
  • Coordinates all timesheet submissions for Food Services employees and ensures they are accurate and prompt.
  • Oversees input and processing of key financial documents such as purchasing card receipts, expense reports, budgets, inventories, capital requests, reimbursements, and asset transfers.
  • Maintains physical and electronic copies of kitchen recipes. Maintains departmental Procedure Manual.  Maintains Food Services ministry site on intranet.
  • Coordinates travel for Food Services team including airline reservations, travel authorizations, and reimbursements for all staff.
  • Maintains office supplies and reorders as needed.
  • Manages all Food Service uniforms, shoes, hats, t-shirts, and yearly clothing items. Maintains pars.

Climate controlled work environment with natural and artificial lighting. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee may be required to work in the evening and/or weekend as workload demands. Infrequent domestic travel (less than 5%) is required. Position is primarily located in Boone, NC but requires travel to Wilkesboro, NC 1-2 days per week and Charlotte at least once per quarter.

SCHEDULE:  7:00-3:30, Monday thru Friday with occasional variance.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and three (3) to five (5) years of related office/administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
