Amination Consultant

Position Description

EnCompass LLC seeks a 2D Animation Consultant to develop short animated videos to support the message of a Gender-Based Violence (GBV) campaign. We are looking for a consultant who can illustrate custom, realistic-looking characters and animate those characters to perform actions everyday actions like walking, talking, and typing on the computer. The consultants should be creative, highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and efficient. This individual will work closely with other members of the GBV team and the EnCompass e-learning team.

The position is a virtual based position.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

Essential functions:

Administration:

• Ability to take feedback from and collaborate with team members
• Be responsive and clear in communications
• Comprehend and execute direction and feedback from supervisor and client
• Apply brand identity systems, pattern libraries, typography, photography, color and other ingredients appropriately to create innovative visual solutions that meet business and user needs
• Manage assignments simultaneously within established timeframes and maintain an awareness of status and project deliverables

Technical:

• Create character samples for approval by EnCompass and clients
• Create storyboards to demonstrate the look and feel of the animation before it is built
• Create realistic, expressive character animations portraying a wide range of emotions
• Uses animation software such After Effects

Other:

• Engage fully as a member of the EnCompass staff team, including participating in staff meetings and other EnCompass events, and providing administrative support to other team members as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Experience and Skills

• Must provide a portfolio with recent work samples
• Strong knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and Adobe Premiere Pro (or similar animation and video editing software)
