semester from the college’s curriculum in the Sociology major program and related Social
Science disciplines. Additional duties include supervision and assessment of students in required
field experiences and academic research, academic advisement of students, conducting
professional research and participating in professional meetings, and service on various college
committees.
A Master’s degree in Sociology is the minimum qualification for this position. However, an
earned Ph.D. along with previous college-level teaching experience is strongly preferred.
