We are seeking a person with professional Journalism experience in both print and digital journalism, someone skilled in current newsroom practices, and flexible enough to teach a range of courses. A successful candidate must have the desire to teach and make a firm commitment to contributing to the university program.
Responsibilities
Teaching Journalism classes.
Mentoring Students.
Working with Chair.
Participating in Department and Campus Committees.
Recruitment Efforts.
The program is based on the fundamentals of writing, reporting, and storytelling, using a hands-on approach, rooted in the ethics of journalism – critical thinking, fairness and accuracy. We build on our existing courses in print, video, audio, web and streaming technologies, conveyed on digital platforms.
Education Requirements: Masters or Significant Professional experience
Skills – writing, reporting, able to teach with a hands-on approach, basic video, audio, web and streaming skills.
