Assistant Professor of Instruction – Sociology


Job Summary

The School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences seeks a full-time non-tenure system Assistant Professor of Instruction to teach courses in our undergraduate sociology major and undergraduate public health minor. The course load is four courses each in the fall and spring semesters, with some summer teaching possible. Courses to be offered may include Introduction to Sociology; Medical Sociology; Public Health & Society; Mental Health & Illness; Social Epidemiology; and Global Health. An earned master’s degree in Sociology or Public Health and related college teaching experience is required; a PhD is preferred. Willingness to teach some online courses is a plus.
