Position Overview:
Under sustainable cities program we use technical expertise, cutting-edge research and on-the-ground partnerships to design solutions that enable sustainable city growth. We collaborate with local and national decision-makers across states to implement projects that overcome the challenges of urbanization and make cities that are better for people. WRI India is working closely with Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India on various initiatives and one of them is Pilot on Formulation of Local area Plan (LAP) and Town Planning Scheme (TPS) under AMRUT sub-scheme. WRI is anchoring the project in Srinagar and looking for an associate candidate with good planning, analytics, design and communication skills. Selected candidate will conduct research, liaison with partners, government agencies and experts, undertake analysis and synthesize solutions towards project deliverables and on-site project implementation
Key Responsibilities:
The candidate will undertake and oversee a range of responsibilities for the projects as listed below:
- Project coordination and stakeholder consultations in Srinagar
- Assist in primary and secondary data collection, collation, analysis, and visualization
- Preparation of necessary drawings, reports, presentations, graphics, etc.
- Assistance in conducting community awareness, capacity building programs, trainings and workshops.
- Assist in conducting stakeholder consultations.
- Assist the team in timely delivery of activities as outlined in the project.
Required Attributes and Credentials:
- Master’s degree in Urban Planning / Regional Planning / City Planning/ Environmental Planning / Housing/ Urban Design or relevant courses.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in English and Urdu is must (Reading, writing, and communicating)
- Excellent communication skills to clearly advise the stakeholders on plans, policies and financial models
- Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative data analysis
- Proficiency in GIS, AutoCAD and MS Office
- Good graphic skill is an added advantage.
- Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner, think creatively, work calmly and enthusiastically.
Location: Srinagar (TPO Kashmir office)
Duration: 12 Months
Potential Salary: 7,50,000 to 8,50,000 INR CTC
