PSI seeks applicants for the position of Business Development Associate Manager to assist in developing new business opportunities globally with foundations and bilateral and multilateral donors. PSI’s Institutional Fundraising Department offers assistance to field-based programs when responding to the USAID, CDC, DoD, FCDO, KFW, Global Fund, corporate, foundation, and other donor requests for proposals. The New Business Development Associate Manager will be based in Washington, D.C., with approximately 10% overseas travel, and reports to the Manager of Business Development.

The Associate Manager is a demanding, challenging, and exciting role, requiring a dynamic individual with strong writing, interpersonal, and communication skills with a sharp focus on details. You will support proposal development and proposal writing, and lead proposal development for smaller proposals, follow-ons, and concept notes. You will also lead departmental projects and areas for process improvement.

Responsibilities

Your contribution

  • Supports proposal development (writing sections, PPRs, CVs).
  • Leads smaller proposals and concept notes.
  • Supports other NBD staff with capture planning.
  • Leads departmental projects (internal capacity building, process improvement).
  • Edits and formats documents (copy editing).Qualifications

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or international equivalent) preferably in Health, policy, or international development.
  • Advanced Degree (or international equivalent) Master’s degree in a related field.
  • At least 3 years in international development, health, professional writing, or fundraising.
  • At least 1 year in business development or fundraising experience.
  • Proven writing skills required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Public health experience preferred
  • Foreign language skills preferred (French, Spanish, Portuguese)
  • Developing country work experience preferred
  • References will be required.
  • The successful candidate will be required to pass a background check. For domestic positions:
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States. N.B. PSI will not consider work visa sponsorship for this position.
