Associate Professor or Tenure Track Assistant Professor,
Head of the Division of Health Care Quality

CHARGE: This is a university hospital position as Head of the Division of Health Care Quality, including a professorship. This position is attached to the Medical and Quality Directorate (MQD) of the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG).

The candidate should have extensive experience in the field of health care quality and patient safety, as well as a solid training in her/his medical specialty. She/He will have proven management and organizational skills to lead a Division the role of which is essential to promote quality of care at the HUG. Within the framework of this transversal mission, she/he must also demonstrate an ability to forge links between hospital departments and the MQD, as well as between all physicians and caregivers involved in quality management.

The successful candidate must possess recognized teaching skills and be dedicated to a strong medical education, as the Division is in charge of the development and supervision of the quality and safety training from the basic medical curriculum to the continuing education for health care professionals. She/He will also have the ability to conduct high-level research in the field of healthcare quality and patient safety.

TITLES AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

M.D. title and relevant board certification, or equivalent, are required. A continuous education title in healthcare quality and/or patient safety would be an asset. Good knowledge of French.

Relevant experience as an independent investigator and teacher. Publications in leading international journals.
