ROLE PURPOSE:
Save the Children International (SCI) is undergoing significant transformation across a number of core business procedures, systems, and structures, through the implementation of a number of High Performing Organization (HPO) Change Projects.
One Programme is CAPP (Coding, Agresso, PPM PRIME) which has four core strands:
1) Deploys a new global financial data model and finance system (Agresso)
2) Introduces a new project management methodology (PMM) to improve the quality of our programming for children
3) Deliver a technology solution (PRIME) that enables the new PMM and links in with our award management system (AMS)
4) Deliver this solution not only to Save the Children International but also across the Save the Children Membership.
In 2021 we are entering the deployment phase of the project and we are aiming to deploy the programme across SCI Centre, Region and Country Offices as well as Member Offices in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
The Award Management Analyst will provide award management support to the implementation of the CAPP programme within SCI. Using sound experience of Award Management practices within our organisation, the role will work closely with the Award Management SME, AMS Advisor and the Awards & New Business Development (NBD) functions, to ensure the programme is successfully deployed to the award management functions in our regional and country offices.
The role is responsible for fully understanding the changes to the award management function that the CAPP programme will bring and to share this knowledge through communication, training, guidance and support, with our regional and country offices. The ultimate aim is to ensure the changes are embedded fully in our awards management and NBD functions ways of working.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Ensure successful deployment of the CAPP Programme to Award Management staff across SCI.
· Upskill regional change managers, regional awards leads and regional NBD leads on the changes that the CAPP programme will bring to the award management and NBD functions.
· Work with change managers, regional awards leads and the NBD function on a plan to embed the CAPP programme successfully in the award management and NBD functions in region and country offices.
· Support the regional award leads and NBD function leads with the delivery of these plans.
· Support creation of training and guidance materials relevant to award management, and update training and guidance based on lessons learned from our first wave of deployment.
· Support regional awards leads with any process questions that are raised during preparation for deployment and after deployment.
· Work with the cross-functional design lead to assess any change requests that come from the offices that we are deploying to.
· Support regional awards leads with data migration activities in preparation for go-live and with communications between COs and Members.
Feed into the CAPP Award Management work plan and deliverables, collaborating with the Cross-functional design lead, the AMS Advisor and the Award Management SME.
· Fully understand the scope of the award management workstream when it comes to the delivery of the CAPP Programme in SCI and the tasks that need to be done to be able to deliver that scope successfully.
· Work with the Award Management SME and AMS Advisor with outstanding design of AMS system and/or awards processes, if required.
· Provide updates on progress towards the plan at regular team meetings.
· Engage with the award management work group and SCI Centre BAU function on deployment topics that need the function’s input.
· Escalate any issues that need support or wider visibility to the cross-functional design lead.
· Effectively manage documentation for retention of key reference documents and decisions.

· Identify and escalate risks and issues that could impact the success of the projects to the Cross Functional Lead and Head of Awards Management
- Build and cultivate effective relationships with key Awards Management stakeholders
- Attend regular team meetings for the project
- Attend regular AM team meetings to ensure understanding of wider functional priorities and maintain engagement in CAPP Programme
- Organise and facilitate workshops and webinars representing the requirements and position of the awards management function
· Collaborate with SMEs for input and feedback into solutions and business procedure changes

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
- Degree level education in a relevant subject e.g. international development, law, finance, accounting, human rights, etc.
- Understanding of SCI award management systems and procedures
- Experience in an awards management role in the field, working with diverse groups in multiple locations.
- Experience implementing or changing core business procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build credibility and internal networks quickly,
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence.
- A track record of delivering results, with a proven ability to forge consensus and drive action
- High degree of cultural sensitivity and an appreciation of the varying levels of readiness and engagement across the organizational spectrum.
Desirable:
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in project management within the contexts and priority thematic programming areas of Save the Children.
- Experience managing a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Experience of being involved in the implementation of a new/changed business procedures.
- Experience with Save the Children’s Theory of Change.

We can offer circa £30,500 per annum (If based in UK) with an option of flexible working hours. If the role is based outside of the UK, National T&C (including pay) will apply.
This role can be based in London or any existing Save the Children International Regional or Country office location on approval, provided the successful candidate has proof of eligibility to work from the preferred location.
