Summary
The Cell Processing Technologist II will perform therapeutic cell processing and cryopreservation for multiple phase I clinical products within the Center for Cell and Gene Therapy good manufacturing practices (GMP) facility. Will play a crucial role in generating GMP-compliant cell therapy patient products including T, NK and NKT cell products. The technologist will be responsible for maintaining electronic databases/worksheets, generating reports for patient files and QA/QC, and reporting on the activities of the cell processing group.
Job Duties
- Performs therapeutic cell processing and cryopreservation of cell therapy patient products for the Center for Cell and Gene Therapy GMP facility
- Develops, maintains, and improves computerized databases and electronic worksheets used for recording processing data and generates reports for patient files and QA/QC program
- Assures that activities are in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Implements the transition of new cell processing technologies
- Ensures that the laboratory is fully prepared and stocked to perform scheduled and emergency cell processing at all times
- Maintains and prepares equipment for use
- Assists in the preparation and writing of abstracts, reports, papers, and presentations on the activities of the cell processing group
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field.
- Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of relevant experience, prefer experience with cell culture or prior GMP work
