The Chief of Party (CoP) will provide overall leadership and project management for the project, ensuring achievement of project deliverables. The CoP will be the primary liaison with USAID/ PMI and will manage project staff and implementing partners to ensure proper reporting, financial management, and compliance. The CoP is expected to coordinate with government and other stakeholders to ensure that activities complement ongoing initiatives and adhere to country and global standards. The CoP will lead a team comprised of other senior-level staff.
The successful candidate will have:
- PHD or Master’s degree or in Public Health.

Minimum of 10 years of progressively increasing responsibility working in public health in the fields of diseases control, health system strengthening, preferably malaria programming (especially in elimination setting) experience in Myanmar and/or the GMS region, at least 5 years in senior management position.

Demonstrated leadership skills in working collaboratively with donors, host country institutions, and international organizations.

Minimum of 5 years demonstrated management experience leading large USAID-funded projects.

A solid understanding and appreciation of USAID/ PMI project processes, procedures, rules and regulations.

Diplomacy and negotiation skills that demonstrate ability to collaborate and coordinate with a range of stakeholders in context of complex and shifting priorities.
