Summary of position:
Under the supervision of the Common Services Officer (CSO), the incumbent is responsible for:
• Cleaning of all areas of an office including but not limited to public areas, representational areas, bathrooms, kitchens, offices, shared desks, and storage rooms;
• Cleaning, control and preparation of cutlery and tableware, linens (e.g. ironing);
• Assisting with official hospitality functions including but not limited to preparation of meeting rooms for events, and serving guests during meetings and other functions;
• Cleaning and preparing residences (staff quarters);
• Assist with inventory tracking, control and ordering of cleaning materials;
• Support ordering of stationary and offices supplies including periodic check of inventory
• Assist with preparing kits of household supplies for residences including inventory checks;
• Providing supervision and accompanying maintenance workers on Mission premises.


Essential qualifications:
Essential Qualifications
Applicants must clearly and explicitly demonstrate in both their application letter and résumé that they meet the essential qualifications in education and/or experience and language criteria listed to be screened into this competition. Education:
• Successful completion of a secondary institution or vocational school or acceptable equivalent level of years of experience in a similar job (8 years +).

Language requirements:
• Fluency in Turkish (oral and written)
• Knowledge of some English

Experience:
• Minimum 5 years recent experience* as a cleaner in a commercial, industrial or government building and/or residence.

*Recent is defined as within the past 8 (eight) years.

Rated Requirements
The rated Requirements relating to knowledge, abilities and competencies will also be assessed. Methods of assessment may include, but are not limited to, a written examination, an oral interview, practical tests or simulations.

Asset Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates who meet the Asset Qualifications. Where applicable, candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet any asset qualifications in their cover letter and CV.

• Good (higher) level of proficiency in English or French (reading, listening, speaking).

• Must be able to work overtime on short notice on occasion.
• Must be available for occasional duties outside normal working hours (i.e., evenings and weekends).

• Able to obtain and retain an enhanced reliability clearance
