Responsibilities

As a Clinical Research Associate-RN II supporting the Neuro-Oncology Division, you will focus on studies involving pediatric brain tumors. These may be St. Jude investigator initiated, consortium or industry sponsored. This position ensures compliance with eligibility, prescribed interventions and evaluations of the assigned protocols. The position also provides patient education and management. Your clinical background as a nurse will pair perfectly with the regulatory and clinical compliance work needed to stay on top of the trial work. You will prepare submissions for reportable events as well as provide data to the collaborating research organization or study sponsor. Additionally, this person will be responsible for making sure trials open in an expedited manner by working with multiple departments on an ongoing basis.
 
You will learn from some of the best clinicians in the world as part of the Cancer Center Administration clinical research team. Responsibilities include patient enrollment, sample shipment coordination, adverse event reporting, and assisting investigators in running efficient and accurate clinical trials. Minimum Education

  • Graduation from a school of nursing is required. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Minimum Experience

  • Two (2) years of direct experience in clinical biomedical and/or behavioral research required.

Required Credentials

  • (LC: RN-TN) Must possess a current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license if primary residence is Tennessee or a Nurse Licensure Non-Compact state.
  • (LC: RN-MISS or RN-AR) Must possess a current State Board of Nursing license in the state of primary residence if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state.

Other Credentials

  • (LC:SOCRA or ACRP)Certification in clinical research from the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA) or the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) must be obtained within three (3) years of assuming the position.
