Tetra Tech International Development is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for a Co-Facilitator position on a Millennium Challenge Corporation-funded Cross Cutting Program Support Activity in Honiara, Solomon Islands.
The Co-Facilitator will be part of a team that facilitates the stakeholders involved in the governance reforms for the Accessing Land for Tourism Investment Facilitation (ALTIF) Project and the Forest Value Enhancement Project (FoVEP). These are the two technical activities of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) and the Solomon Islands Government (SIG)’s Threshold Program.
The Co-Facilitator will support the Lead Facilitator in the creation and management of a highly participatory problem-solving process which cuts across both the ALTIF and the FoVEP projects. S/he will be involved in coordinating across both projects, addressing issues that arise, and adapting solutions to fit the local context. The Co-Facilitator will not provide solutions, but rather facilitate teams of local actors to work together, identify solutions, and make progress towards addressing the complex problems that inhibit meeting the overall Threshold Program objectives.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in public administration, management, or other relevant field required, advanced degree preferred.
*Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience facilitating programs supporting tourism, land, and forestry.
* Two (2) to three (3) years of experience leading facilitated governance reform initiatives in a developing country context preferred, that may include: (i) adaptive management techniques; (ii) problem definition techniques such as Ishikawa diagram, problem trees, or similar approaches; (iii) professional coaching and/or mentoring; and (iv) managing complex authorizing environments and ability to navigate them.
* Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience coordinating teams in program monitoring as well as implementation-focused and adaptation-focused monitoring and evaluation preferred.
* Expertise in monitoring and evaluation, preferably monitoring and evaluation in at least one or more of the following sectors: forestry, investment facilitation, land governance, or tourism support programs preferred.
