Job Summary/General Purpose of Job

Provides administrative and programmatic support to an assigned area.

 

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

Provides full range of administrative and clerical functions.

Provides programmatic support that may include, but not be limited to, editing, proofing, elementary desktop publishing, conducting basic research, supporting members and committees, supporting marketing activities, and meeting planning.

Establishes, selects, implement, modifies, and coordinates all office administrative services to optimize service delivery.

Complies basic operational reports and assists in the maintenance of the department’s budgets.

Orders and maintains supplies and, where appropriate, arranges for equipment maintenance and repair.

Performs other related duties as required.

 

Required Education, Qualifications, Experience

High school diploma or GED.  At least three years’ experience providing administrative support in a business setting. Basic level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns). Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a row, selecting font style and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste and save functions, aligning text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check and/or printing worksheets).

 

Preferred Education, Qualifications, Experience

Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
