Level: Officer Classification: LE-07 Location: Embassy of Canada, The Hague, The Netherlands Closing date for applications: 06-12-2020 at 23:59 UTC/GMT Summary of position: This position is the embassy’s primary point of contact for all common services provided, either directly at the mission or through a Common Service Delivery Point (CSDP). Supervises one or more Common Service Assistant(s) (CSA). Accountable for the provision of mission specific common services to mission clientele in addition to the coordination of regionalized common services requests from the mission to the CSDP. Responsible for the delivery of more than one of the following common services: financial, human resources, property and facilities management, material management and procurement; and the management of information and documentation of the service(s) in accordance with established policies, guidelines and procedures. Essential qualifications: Candidates will initially be screened against the Essential Qualifications relating to education, experience and language. Candidates must clearly demonstrate in their cover letter and CV how they meet each of these essential qualifications. Education: • Bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized university or, • College degree from a recognized educational institution plus three (3) years of continuous experience in administration, finance or accounting Language: • Fluency in English (oral, reading and written) • Intermediate level in Dutch (oral, reading and written ) Experience: • Significant experience in a role with main duties related to Finance e.g. processing transactions, monitoring and tracking budgets, controlling expenditure, financial analysis, etc. • Experience in a role in a corporate office environment providing client service to internal and/or external clients • Experience supervising at least one employee in an operational environment Note: Significant is defined as a minimum of five (5) years. Rated Requirements The Rated Requirements relating to knowledge, abilities and competencies will also be assessed. Methods of assessment may include, but are not limited to, a written examination, an oral interview, role-play, practical tests, presentations and/or psychometric assessment.
