Essential qualifications: Candidates will initially be screened against the Essential Qualifications relating to education, experience and language. Education: • A university degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized university or post-secondary academic institution related to the position (such as Business Administration, Public Administration, Accountancy, etc.) or equivalent combination of experience and trainingLanguage: • Proficiency in English (Oral and Written) Experience: • Minimum of three years’ experience with general administrative duties (including dealing with office administration, client service, office policy, office communications, local bureaucracy) • Minimum of three years’ experience in managing budgets, forecasting and reporting • Minimum of two years’ experience in dealing with client service (internal and/or external clients) • Experience in supervision: this includes supervising others directly and/or overseeing work by others who do not necessarily report to the position Rated Requirements: The Rated Requirements relating to knowledge, abilities, competencies and personal suitability will also be assessed. Methods of assessment may include, but are not limited to, a written examination, an oral interview, practical tests and/or presentations. Where applicable, candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet the asset qualification in their cover letter and CV. • Ability to communicate in French (oral and written) Organizational Needs: n/a Operational Requirements: • Working hours are Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week • Must be available for occasional duties outside normal working hours (i.e., evenings and weekends), sometimes on short notice • Must be available for domestic & international travel. Condition(s) of Employment: The successful candidate must: • Be eligible for a Canadian “Reliability Status” security clearance. This clearance is a requirement prior to appointment from the Government of Canada. This involves, among other things, Australian Federal Police checks, credit checks, and validation of qualifications. The required level of security clearance must be maintained throughout the employment period. • Have the right to work in Australia. Only Australian citizens, permanent residents or those holding a valid visa permitting them to work unrestricted in Australia will be eligible to apply.
