The Communication and Visibility Specialist will lead the development of media and visibility actions for the SPARK activities in Turkey, with a specific focus on EU-funded projects (including MADAD Fund, DAHIL, as well as EBRD and PCL Turkey). S/he will provide support to the project team in planning public events and activities related according to the communications/visibility plans of the project. S/he will be responsible for the preparation of all communications/visibility contents for all projects and ensure the requirements of the donors.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

The responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to:

· Strengthen the relationship with relevant communication staff within the EU delegation in Turkey.

· Lead in creating communications plans and strategies for projects (MADAD Fund, Dahil, EBRD and PCL Turkey).

· Increase the visibility of the projects (MADAD Fund, Dahil, EBRD and PCL Turkey) through written (story collection, articles and newsletters), visual content (online designs), events management and expert meetings.

· Play a leading role in collating external reports and news articles from local media, analyse media trends and potential for social media activities.

· Manage organisation of press conferences and/or public events to raise awareness of the positive impact of the projects.

· In coordination with other departments, provide communication and logistical support for organisation of training events, workshops and community-based activities within the Programme events.

· Lead with designing promotional materials.

· Lead with promotional video production.

· Assist the Country Manager and PMs in stakeholder representation.

· Provides support to keep the website up-to-date.

· Provides support to the regional communications team.

· Other tasks as required.

Requirements and Skills

· Advanced level (master’s) university degree in communications, journalism, public relations, international relations, linguistics, or related discipline is preferred.

· A first-level university degree with a combination of relevant academic qualifications and experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

· Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in communications, public relations, media or journalism on EU funded projects is required

· Ability to facilitate/moderate workshop

· Ability to build consensus amongst a wide range of views and complex personal and inter-organizational dynamics.

· Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills in order to deal tactfully and effectively with internal/external contacts at all levels.

· Fluency in written and spoken English and Turkish (Arabic highly desirable)

· Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

· Turkish nationality only
