ENSIE, the European Network of Social Integration Enterprises unites national and regional networks of the work integration social enterprises. Its mission is to support the interests of its members, organise exchanges between them and cooperate closely with other social economy stakeholders. The team is composed of 5 people: a director, a policy officer, 2 project managers and a communication officer.

We are looking for a motivated intern (STUDENTS ONLY) to join the Communication Unit at the ENSIE’s Brussels Office, under the supervision of our Communication Officer. The placement would be for 6 months, starting as soon as possible.

Your mission

You will closely work with ENSIE’s communication officer in implementing the organisation and projects communication strategies. You support the internal and external communication by:

  • Drafting and editing ENSIE publications (reports, press releases, articles, internal and external newsletters );
  • Participating to the development of ENSIE websites;
  • Helping to the production of other communication tools (brochures, videos, event materials, etc.);
  • Supporting the creation of communication support for events (conferences, statutory meetings, seminars, etc.).
  • Supporting the #BuyResponsible campaign launch targeting the European institutions, especially the European Parliament and other European stakeholders.

You will be considered a full member of the team from day one.

Your profile 

You are a motivated person, enthusiastic to work in a multicultural and international environment. You enjoy working independently, in close collaboration with your colleagues. You work precisely, creatively and efficiently.

You demonstrate an experience in communication and you want to gain concrete experience in communication within European organisations. You have experience and interest in creating social media and web content. You have well-developed IT, media and design skills e.g. Canva. You are able to bring new ideas to help amplify our messages.

You have strong writing skills and an excellent command of both oral and written English and French.

You have a good knowledge of the European Union (actors, functioning, institutions, policies), especially with regard to social issues and employment.

Knowledge of social and solidarity economy and social entrepreneurship is an asset.

An internship contract must be signed by ENSIE, the intern and a sending University/School/Institute.

The internship is intended for students who have to complete a compulsory internship and are therefore able to receive a scholarship through Erasmus+ or similar programmes. On top, you will receive a monthly financial contribution of EUR 300 by ENSIE during your internship period.

Please keep in mind that we are following all COVID-19 measures so you may not be working in the office full-time.
