UNICEF is looking for Project Manager to support UNICEF’s project to grow on a digital transformation journey to increase revenues and make an impact on children’s lives around the world. You will be supporting the Individual Giving team, Division of Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP), based in Geneva: a highly committed and performance-driven team responsible for overseeing a fundraising program that delivers over one billion dollars of income every year.

How can you make a difference?
Recently UNICEF ran a discovery process to define a new Digital Revenue Strategy to accelerate digital growth. Our vision: becoming the largest and most successful non-profit digital fundraising program in the world.
This role will be crucial for achieving this ambitious goal, as this role will work directly with the Chief of Individual Giving (IG) to manage and monitor the delivery of a wide range of projects intended to reshape our digital revenue.
MAIN TASKS
- Lead the coordination between project teams of all projects relating to the new digital revenue strategy.
- Maintain control of overall resourcing, timings and workflow across the projects, ensuring good quality of information to sponsors.
- Work with project leads in each area to ensure scope and objectives are clear, and there is minimal scope creep as projects move forward.
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
- Prepare and negotiate budget, with Chief of IG, based on scope of work and resource requirements.
- Track costs across all projects to ensure accuracy and efficiency of spend.
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan. Ensure that related initiatives such as SES and PCI-DSS have visibility of project work plan to ensure coherence and avoid duplication.
- Deal with stakeholders inside the organization providing clear visibility and workflow of the tasks and projects.
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to review strategy, adjustments, and progress.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with key stakeholders across UNICEF.
- Engage with stakeholders outside the organization, such as agencies, to support and provide expertise to achieve targets
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
- Measure project performance to assess project health and make recommendations or escalation accordingly.
DELIVERABLES
- Develop and manage a tracker that shows project delivery against scope has been visually updated to reflect status of tasks, resourcing, responsibilities and milestones.
- The project process has been well communicated to stakeholders and escalation processes are enabled as needed.
- All deadlines have been clearly shared and announced in a timely manner.
- Stakeholders involved in each deadline have been properly engaged.
- All stakeholders have been actively consulted on a weekly or monthly basis through the regular communication channels.
- There has been a correct resourcing from externals such as agencies, suppliers and other vendors.
- All projects have been running professionally (and have been perceived to be).
- Budgets have been updated in an ordered fashion.
- Project documentation has been updated in the regular PFP Collaboration Site.
ESTIMATED DURATION OF THE CONTRACT AND PROPOSAL
11.5 months, full-time, tentatively starting 4 January 2021.
REPORTING TO
Chief of Individual Giving, PFP, based in Geneva.
WORKPLACE
Remote, with at least 50% of the schedule following Geneva time-zone.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field is required.
Experience:
- 5 years of project management in a digital environment and related experience is required.
- Experience managing projects through the full life cycle is required.
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline is required.
- Experience in managing digital projects in a changing environment is required.
- Preference will be given to candidates with international fundraising experience.
Languages:
- Fluency in English is required.
- Knowledge of another UN official language is an asset.
Others:
- Expertise in project management software tools (Microsoft), methodologies (Agile, Kanban), and best practices is required.
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful.
- Knowledge of the UN system is an advantage.
